Blank Pages

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 28; the 28th Edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The topic for this month is 'BLANK PAGES'.

Everyone has a secret box, where the precious artifacts related to memories go in. After many years, Ananth opened his box, there was an autograph book from school days. All his friends had written except one page was blank with only the name. She told him to forget about her when returning the autograph book with the blank page. Ananth could see the impression of tear drop still & realized the page was not blank.

Some memories cannot be forgotten, So was his first love.

55 words are more than enough to narrate some beautiful Stories . Good one !

Completely agree with this statement. Moreover, they tell this story afterwards, very rarely when it happens!

Thanks Apala, well I never thought words were powerful, but i realize the words must be powerful enough to make an impact as only 55 words in 55- fiction

@DS, Thanks for the comments, glad that you liked it.

@Raniiii, I am wondering why your name has so many i's , thanks for stopping by & reading the post.

@Richi, thanks for the sweet comments, well this is fiction, but I do have the slam or autograph books, probably its time to open them & read as we normally forget most of the things since it's been so long

@Jaish, Thanks, glad that you liked the story well, i suppose sometimes 55 words are enough to tell a story or one incident, sometimes 55 words may not be enough to tell a lifetime of a story. It may depend on the number of most important things you wanna put together in a story

I am a lover of 55 fiction and so I am so glad you wrote one!
I thought you nailed this. It was powerful and striking, and doing that with a 55er is difficult. Loved it!

That's a nice one. But aren't there more than 55 words?

@Aativas, Yes, it may also happen that the small things may always be there, we may miss to notice & realize the story behind. Anyway I wish such things bring us joy in future, because if they are related to sad incident or story then we may have nothing to do about it as it may be too late. Thanks for the comments; it gave another angle for the post.

@SIS, Nice to see you back on my blog after long time, thanks for stopping by, first love is special as its first, the thing is you start to have all the good feelings about someone, & for the first time you meet some person to associate with all those feelings. Well you know Someone is special always :-)

@Kappu, thanks for the comments, yes the page refers to the memories in life, or life itself, the impression reflects the pain or scar which cannot go away with time

@The Fool, first of its entire ridiculous to call you by the name Fool, anyway u may have got used to it by now. I am glad that you could feel the depth of the emotion behind the narrated incident.

@Antara, honestly its more than 55 words, but I suppose plus or minus 10% is ok. I am glad you loved it. Thanks for the nice comments.

Thanks Shail, I am glad you stopped by my blog. Yes it's more than 55 words; honestly speaking I was running out of time for the blog a ton competition & posted in hurry, any attempt to reduce the word count, made the story loose its essence. Some 10 words are 'a' '&' ‘the’ etc. So I suppose it's ok to exceed few words. Isn't it?
I have tried to keep the other 55 fiction stories in my blog restricted to around 55 words as they are meant to be, plus or minus 10% :)
